Hi everyone, im looking to buy a new monitor for pc gaming, web surfing and console gaming (ps3)

For Pc I rather 1920 x1200 but for consoles the resolution needs to be 1080p, so if the Monitor has 1920x1200, it also need to have 1:1 pixel mapping.

Now i can't decide between a :

VX2753mh-LED (TN panel) : ( or the 24 inch version)

http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktop-monitors/lcd/x-series/vx2753mh-led.htm (about 380 $)

It's been getting good reviews.

OR

Asus PA246Q (IPS panel) on sale on for 450$

http://ca.asus.com/en/Display/LCD_Monitors/PA246Q/#specifications

6ms response time grey to grey (ips... )

can't pull the trigger !!

I would get the Asus by far. I'm not a big fan of TN panels.

I have found that with 1:1 pixel mapping I get a lot of screen tearing while playing a PS3 game. So I've had to just let it stretch vertically. Not a huge deal I suppose, but a bit annoying. Your mileage may vary (I've got a 2 year old 24" Dell UltraSharp).
