I'm trying to play Cave Story Plus on my Computer and everytime I run it, it's all Choppy and Slow and really unresponsive.

I don't see how it can be like this because according to the Steam Page of Cave Story Plus I should be able to run it perfectly, but It's all choppy and unresponsive.

This goes for a lot of other games too and I have no idea what's up with them.

My CPU does go ballistic when I play the game too, so that's kinda weird. Is it because of the Steam Client that's making me not being able to play some 2D games on my System?

I'm just want to play some games. (sorry if I posted this in the wrong board).

Everytime I here the name Cave Story I think of Maplestory. Sorry this most likely has nothing to do with your question.

yeah, thanks but I seriously want to know what the deal is, cause I just got done playing Jamestown and it's just puzzling to me as to why I can run that game, but not Cave Story+?

Have you tried upgrading the drivers for your graphics card?

Ok the above the fix only works for xp so go to the cavestory install in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common and look for the cavestory excutable rightclick on it>go to properties and try running compability mode for windows xp and check disable visual themes and desktop composition. You have launch it through this file and not steam for the settings to apply so make a shortcut to it and put that on your desktop. If you have any visual overlays(steam, xfire, raptr, fraps, etc)try disabling those as well if nothing works after updating your drivers and trying the above I'm out of ideas.
