I have a 8800GTS 512mb and riva tuner won't let my take the memclock past 1465mhz. The bar ends at 1465mhz, and when i go past around 1200 a yellow caustion sign pops up over the mem icon. My current OC is 750/1900/1015. I run crysis dx10 all high, 2X AA, around 25 FPS on average which i good enough for me. just installed lost planet and it looks amazing, considering a already beat the game on the 360.

Help me get my mem clock up, so i can turn up textures to very high on crysis, i hope im correct that higher mem clock is helps specifically with large textures.

Rivatuner is fine. Remember the memory clocks it tells you, you need to multiply by two. So when it says stock is 970mhz, that's really 1940mhz. So your 1015 is 2030. I think about the max is 1200(2400) without volt modding, but you'd probably be pretty lucky to surpass even 1150(2300). Don't even attempt to set it at 1465, that would be insane.

Rivatuner is the best there is. The OPs problem is that he is trying for an impossible overclock. See post above.

BTW i'm curious, did you try setting it at 1465, because my guess is at that speed any game would freeze and crash in a second.

thanks a lot guys, this helps alot, because ive been reading ppl posting mem overclocks of 2100 mhz and i though my card was messed up since there isn't even an option to go higher. i hears 2100mhz is a good mem overclock speed, ill try that next. will i notice improvements in games if i overclock even farther lets say 800mhz for core/ 2000 shader/ 2100mhz mem. I would say the most annoying thing about oc'ing is that my fan gets loud, 80% when my tems rise to 55 C. I might change this to 80 % when at 60 C what do u guys think.
