Hi.

My friend in my class is selling his 37 inch TV, I currently have a 26 inch TV and have been thinking upgrading to a bigger screen here's the thing.

The 37 inch TV is HD ready so 720p he wants 250 bucks for it

The sale out in a shop has a 1080p TV, but WAY more expensive for 650 bucks both are Samsung TVs.

I basicly only play PS3 on my TV barely watch TV occasionally I watch movies. My couch is about 1750cm away from the TV and my bed even further.

250 vs 650 bucks

37 inch 720p vs 1080p

This TV has to go cause I find it too small I currently also have a 720p TV, any suggestions? Thanks!

A 37" Samsung for $250!! That's insane, Provided it's in good working condition and the 2 tv's were released around the same year, I'd get the 720p in a heartbeat. You won't notice much difference between a 720p and 1080p for tv's 37" and under. And I don't know, when I'm playing games, my brain is too busy having fun than focusing on how crisp the images are. That's $400 in your pocket that you could use to get new speakers and receivers, xbox 360 etc. Besides, you can even turn it around and sell it on Craigslist or something for around $450, which is easily doable for a 37" Samsung...atleast where I live in Minneapolis. In a smaller town, it would be harder to find potential buyers.

Screen size itself has nothing to do with resolution. Its screen size in relation to how far away you sit. 22" at 720p and 1080p is the same difference as 60" at 720p and 1080p.

as a geek I recommend 1080p but really it doesn't worth it. you'll barely find anything to watch in 1080p.
