Help please on upgrades

Hi folks,

I am wondering is it worth my while to upgrade and which parts if so, i built my current rig a few years ago now and am looking to play battlefield 3 maxed out at 1080p.

my system is evga gtx 280 in sli

nvidia nforce 790i ultra mobo

4 gb of corsair ram running at 1333

intel core 2 extreme 9650 cpu

coolermaster m1000 real power max output 1200w

i get around 35 to 50 fps on crysis maxed out at 1080p no aa

any help would be great

Yeah but I never recommend getting the latest card. It's more expensive and most of the time you get the same performance from the model before. (and u save $$$)

the 680 beats the hell out of the 500s, and uses like half the power draw. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Is there a big price difference?

And yes, the new series always beats the older series. I was just going off when you want to save money and get roughly the same performance at normal resolutions.

You can get a GTX 580 under\close to 400$ are around 500$ Worth the 100$ imo.
