Hey i own a 2900 XT & i have crossfire ready motherboard but i can not afford to buy a second 2900 Xt so i'm thinking to buy a 2600 XT .... can i combine2 different graphic cards ? PLS i needa corect an profesional answer because i want to know for sure THX !:oops:

I'm pretty sure that Crossfire supports such a configuration, altough I doubt the performance increase is worth the price.

This does however belong in the hardware forum.

if you use that configuration your cards will only go as fast as the slowest card. in this case the 2600. so you'd be wasting money if you didnt buy the same GPU.

no you can't you need the same type of video card

i would never buy a 2600xt to match with a 2900xt...first off, they are 2 different cards, the wont perform as good either, it was so not worth the money, i would advise you not to do it...your better off with the standalone 2900xt then with it paired with a 2600xt....just not worth it

Wait a couple of months,couse 2900xt can handle anything out now and till the end of the year i think!
