I got an old copy from my friend. I installed the game. Worked great . Completed like 6 levels. Then i wanted to uninstall the game because i had just installed to check if it was working right..............before i payed him for it.

When i clicked on the uninstaller the standard uninstaller pops up. Asks me if im sure i want to uninstall the game and all its components. Says it is performing the requested operation. Usually you can see that blue progress tab at the bottom showing the uninstall procedure . Then it says maintenance complete.. I was like wtf! Ive never experienced somthing like that before. So i went in control panel and tried to remove it from there. The same thing.over and over. The game works great. I just coudnt uninstall it.

Incase your wondering, its the nolf goty edition. So i got so frustrated. I deleted the main folder where it was installed(1.3 gigs i think) and deleted the iconsand ;deleted it from start>programs>no one lives forever ...too. But it still displays that its installed in add/remove programs(now it shows0.85 mb without the icon).

This is so weird. Now I cant even install the game. When i try to put the cd in and install it , i get a message like, an older version needs to be uninstalled first .Then i tried to remove it and get the dam maintenance complete mesage again. Im losing my mind here. So my pc still thinks its installed on my pc.

Help me out guys. Ive played quite alot of games on the pc ive never experienced this. Any software that can fix this. Any idea why this happening??? I liked the game. Now i cant even play it. *cries*

I had this problem once, but I've forgotten what it was I did to fix it. Crap, what was it? Errr... Well, anyway, know that you're not alone, that can happen with NOLF.

i checked on some fansites of the game.i didnt come across anything of this sort.is the uninstaller currupted? because i didnt install any patches.i figured if its goty its probably good out of the box.dam.

jp if you do remember please pm me man.il thoroughly appreciate it.

You can use a free registry editor, like RegCleaner, to remove the entry from Add/Remove programs.

And then do a registry cleanup, which will delete all the entries from the registry and then reinstall the game. That should work.

You can get a free registry cleaner here:

Shorting the sentence gradually and I for one will perhaps read it.

And use punctuations and capitals when necessary. Bad typing is really hard for people to follow. It took me quite a while to read your paragraph. I kept getting lost between sentances.

You could also enlighten us by telling whether or not the problem has been solved. Looking forward to know if the registry cleaning helped or not.

I had this same problem with a couple of games. Revo uninstaller always worked for me if you have a similar problem in the future.

You can use the software I gave you to remove the entry from Add/Remove programs as well. If you tried that and the game still doesn't work...then I am helpless.
