Does anyone remember an old PC game that entailed zooming around a city in a air ambulance/rescue helicopter. From what I can remember, you got calls for emergencies, had to fly to the scene and land, usually precariously, and pick up an injured person. I also remember a base that you repaired your craft and purchased upgrades (new helicopters?). Any help remembering what game this is would be much appreciated.

That sounds like it might be Sim Copter. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/simcopter/index.html

I'm going with the same thing.

What was cool is that you could import your Sim City 2000 cities into the game and play. Lots of fun.

SimCopter ruled! Such a fun and unique game, and packed to the brim with absolutely wacked-out easter eggs.

I loved that you could pick up pedestrians and drop them out of your helicopter, then transport them to the hospital and get paid.

Since a thread like this is open, I've been trying to remember an old game. You flew a little spaceship and had to land it on various different landing pads, without coming down on them too quickly or at an angle. The aspect of the game was 2d platformer style. Sorry to highjack the thread a bit ;)

Sounds like Lunar Lander or at least a derivative of the game.

Something told me it might be SimCopter, but for some reason the name didn't sound right. I'll have to check out the description on GS, see if it jives. Many thanks, guys. As for the moon landing game, check out Lunar Lander: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_Lander_(arcade_game)

SimCopter was such a blast. I think the best part of the game was when you had the classical music station on, and it started playing Flight of the Valkyries. Even better if you were on your way to put out a high-rise building fire. So epic.

You can get Lunar Lander on Microsoft's "Game Room" service if you are dying to play it :P There are also free flash versions, but they don't really compare to the original.
