Help w/ component cables for my PS3

So I hooked up component cables today with a little trouble, but finally got them. I tried playing COD4 but the screen became fuzzy when I did and runny across the screen. I then played the Call of Juarez demo, which worked fine. Can anyone tell me whats wrong with COD4. I tried it again but no luck. Also why is the XMB so small now?

Are you using a SDTV or HDTV? You may try to reset the video settings by keeping the power button held down while the system powers up until it beeps a second time. If you're using an HDTV make sure it supports 1080p over component is that's what you're using, otherwise you'll have to use 720p.
