The Rev 2.0 has double the SATA 3.0Gps hookups (8x) & has a PCIe (4x) slot. The funny thing is it has less USB 2.0 ports. 4 instead of 8 like the first board has. It's pretty clear to see the difference between the boards. It's all just different ammount of ports. They have the same FSB, sockets, & native ram speeds.

I bet because they shoved all those extra ports on the thing they decided to jack up the price that much more. I bought a Gigabyte board a few years ago and they always come out with Rev1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 2.0, ... I think it's just a way for them to shove on an extra socket or two and people think that it's way better. I'd say I'm 85% sure that it's just extra ports but if you're that concerned you should go onto the Gigabyte website and look up each board to see exactly what the difference is between them. If one is just a Rev* of a previous board then most of the big stuff like FSB, socket, & RAM slots should be exactly the same.
