Hey guys I am trying to install a Xonar ST on a Gigabyte 870a-ud3 with Windows 7 64bit. I placed it in the PCI 2 slot, plugged in a power cable and plugged in the front audio cable. I also disabled onboard audio after Windows did not recognize it. Still nothing. Their is no sign the card has been installed at all. In fact, since I disabled onboard sound Windows says I have no audio devices installed.

The card was not initially designed to work with Windows 7 so I am going to need to get drivers online.

Any ideas??

Thanks.

Try installing the drivers first, might help detecting a hardware change, or you could open Device Manager and scan for a hardware change...

I get an error message saying that the file is not supported or has been damaged when I try to download it. It is a .rar file so I am trying to open it in WinRAR which is telling me "access denied".

Have you tried the drivers from here? Sometimes, a driver may get corrupted during download. The only options are to either try again or find a different site.

You could also right-click on the archive and choose Run as Administrator.
