I bought a VGA cable but when I connect it to my LG Plasma the image comes out with 4:3 aspect ratio. And my computer can't simply change the resolution output. My TV model is one of the following : - 42PQ30R - 50PQ30R - 42PQ60R - 50PQ60R not sure which, these models appear in the owner's manual. and my PC is a Dell Latitude D830 with an integrated Intel GMA Is there any way of getting a 16:9 aspect ratio output? Please help, thanks

well you should be able to go into the setup options within the tv and change the aspect ratio or there might be a button on the remote to do this, i know my Samsung DLP has both of these features....

Well, my TV can make the image appear full screen, as in turn the 4:3 into 16:9. BUT, it is not a real 16:9 image, it's still the same 4:3 image but stretched out to fit the screen. What I need is to make my pc output 16:9 resolution to my TV. Any more suggestions please? I'm desperate because my PC doesn't have HDMI output, and I know VGA can output 16:9 resolutions, but I just don't know how.

You are using the Intel Graphics utility to adjust the display resolution, right? Might help to output to the TV only (no laptop display).

Have you tried changing the resolution (right click on desktop, click screen resolution or properties). Might just be set at a non widescreen res!?
