Hey guys, I'd love some help. I'm running a toshiba laptop running vista 32 bit. Its about a 4 year old laptop that i have running perfectly. I just have no space left and i need a bigger harddrive. I have Macrium Refelect Free edition. I created a Linux Boot Disc and a complete clone copy of my current 120gb harddrive thats only gotabout 10 gb free space left. Last night i ordered a 320gb Western Digital sata 5400rpm harddrive for it, as it was a AWESOME deal. My question is. When i take out the current harddrive and put in the new 320gb and boot from the linux cd, run the external harddrive with the cloned image will i beable to copy the WHOLE laptop as it is running to the new 320gb drive without any problems? As in no driver problems or running errors, or things such as the computer wont run at all or some programs wont run as parts of the .dll are missing etc. I'm very concerned, i just want to make sure when i plug the external drive in with the cloned image of the current harddrive, that i'l beable to successfully import the image to the new harddrive.
One last tiny thing, if for whatever reason the new drive doesnt work out, or when i put it in and copy over the image i relize i want to go back to the old 120gb ORIGINAL harddrive, will i beable to simply put the old harddrive back in and boot windows up as I was able to before the new harddrive? Windows wont have any memory issue or issue with the drives being switched over will it? Please help me bacause I have a lot of school things coming up and i need the laptop fixed asap. Thanks everyone!
