i just started a new game and it was slow so i turned all the video settings as low as they could go so it would run smoothly and now when i look up everything from whats in front of me just blurs up and i cant see up past the skyline its kind of like when your computer almost freezes and you move the windows around it leaves a trail of the window thats what is happening whenever i try to play clear sky i have NOT installed any mods i only turned the video settings down because it was really slow with them normaly

I know the effect you are describing but unfortunately I don't know the exact cause. Your best bet is to probably figure out what graphics card you have and then download the most up to date drivers from the manufacturers website.

You may have a decent graphics card, I don't know, but if you used one of those internet "can I run it" programs, some of them will check your video card's RAM and if you have an integrated video chip (like most stock PCs) then the software will think your card can run the game even though it can't (because it will think your video card has 2gb of available RAM).

Well for once that is a bad gaming graphics card. I'm actually surprised you can even run Clear sky. As for your issues download Clear Sky complete mod. It changes almost nothing gameplay wise other than some balancing issues while it adds some better textures and graphics effects on the game while more importantly it fixes a ton of bugs

what drivers are you using? I switched to the 258.96 and stalker ran like complete crap, masseffect2 also had a full screen size issue. I switched back to 197.45 and everything runs great. I have a gtx 285 and the 258.96 did not work well, but I did notice the colors in masseffect were better but the full screen issue was annoying.

Get out of here Stalker!

LOL

Well there's supposed to be a fix for that - did you update it? Is there a motion blur setting you can use?

ya i updated it to version 1.5.10 (highest update i can find) (no mods or addons or anything like that have been added i want to play the game with no mods first) and no there is not a blur option(i even messed around with some settings that might have caused this) and i can run games with good detail so the card is not the problem(ran SoC just fine on highest settings) (ran fallout 3 when i had that perfectly better than on my 360 half the time as long as it was windowed) i will see if running it windowed will have an effect on other than that im not sure if some people know the effect because someone suggested a mod that fixes errors and i dont think this would be in a later version of the game its like a trail of the objects on the skyline say there is a rock and a tower in front of me and i look up the rock and the tower just leave a trail as if im still lookiing in the same spot the slower i move my screen the more "copies" it makes in the trail the faster i move my screen the "copies" are larger (eg. half the tower half the rock) i hope someone can help me with this and thanks for helping

If you aren't too far into the game you might just try reinstalling the game itself.

Might have been a corrupt install if this problem has been happening from the outset, though at this point it's pretty much a shot in the dark if updating video drivers hasn't worked for you. As other's have mentioned though that card isn't exactly outstanding, you may want to consider saving up to buy a proper dedicated graphics card as I'm pretty sure the one you have now is built into the motherboard.
