Hmm, you could use Xfire, but Teamspeak and Ventrillo work fine. I don't use voice chat though.

Use whatever your friends use. Vent X-Fire and Teamspeak all work really well the difference being more people use Vent andTeamspeak while X-Fire is easier to use since you dont have to set up a server or remember IP adresses

ventrilo and teamspeak are currently leading in the VoIP industry...

ventrilo costs money for a server depending on the quality. Teamspeak is free, however the quality is usually sub-par.

Good thing it's easy to just join a random Vent and play there.

Can anyone give some details on how X-Fire works?

Isn't it more than just a voice program?

Xfire is a gaming IM program basically. Any game supported by it will be detected when you launch Xfire, then when you launch the game, it shows up as you playing it on your buddy list. In game you can hit Scroll Lock +X and access your buddy list in game and talk to any friends that are online without minimizing the game. For online games some also have One Click Join where if your friend is in a server you can hit a button and it launches the game and automatically connects you to that server. Recently they also added voice chat like what AIM has. Its a great free program, recommended download for any PC gamer. For more information and the download Click Here
