hey are these system specs any good to play for the next 2-3 years?

i just got a new computer that i upgraded from my old custom computer which was:

AMD anthlon 3500+ @ 2.2ghz

Nvidia7900GTX @ 512mb

2gb ram

Windows XP professional

now i upgraded all of that to:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 @ 3.0Ghz

Nvidia 8800 GTX Ultra @ 768mb

3.2 Gb Ram

Windows Vista Ultimate

would this system be able to run Crysis on Maximum settings with DX10 enabled and all the works? i also have another question regarding Vista, how do i do that 3D window thing, u know the thing that microsoft bragged about so much. i want to be able to do that. i installed world in conflict and gears of war on my pc and they run really well probably at like 25-40fps but gears of war sometimes lags for like a second and then it goes back to normal.

No it's currently the best computer one can buy which you have.Well atleast it's the best single card setup.But you overspend unnecessarily quite a bit and made a wrong decision in buying that CPU but it's nothing big.I would have got a Q6600 instead however your CPU is currently the best but severely overpriced when you compare it with an E6750.

And even though your graphics card is the absolute best but SEVERELY overpriced.If you know these things than fine beacuse that PC does kick major ass otherwise.

that cascade thing you can do with home premium and (i haven't got it on my toolbar) but is an option you can use from one of the icon links just right of the start button on the toolbar. Cool for 30seconds but utterly useless tho hehe.GenTom

Also I would have gotten a Q6600 instead of the E6850.

The ultra is overpriced by a lot, would have gotten a 8800 GTS (512 MB).

praps he's got 4gigs and he's usin vista 32-bit so it limits the amount of ram he can use as 768mbs is bein used by his GF card.

If I could find a system that would guarentee me top playing performance for the next 2-3 years I'd sell my left ...trodeback
