hey check out my new set up!!!! (NO REALLY CHECK IT OUT!!!!)

hey wats up, i just got this new set up and im finally nearly finished. all i need now is some surround sound and a Blu-Ray Player. just need to save up for another couple ofmonths.please rate 1-10, i really want to see what people think of this set up,

(what i have in the set up):

Xbox 360 Premium

iPhone

HD Reciever

Sony Upconverting DVD Player

6/10 without surround otherwise an 8/10. Bear in mind I'm going of my setup, I have a 42@ HD panny plasma (2000 GBP) wireless network for extra tidyness and a surround setup to dies for which includes and 1000 pound Onkya 875 AVR and Monitor Audio Radius 270 speakers with an active sub on the way, the radius speakers cost 1200.

You do have a good bit of kit though.

can u guys post some pics because im pretty clueless otherwise, lol and ya i know i need to get some surround sound ASAP, i have some5.1 surround soundJBL speakerson my other TV but its not an HDTV and there would be wires running thru the entire roomriyad_94

HD DVD sucks? Yeah ok buddy, its quality is identical to BD. Also the LG Superblue is a horrible HD DVD player, also its just as cheap to buy a stand alone BD player with a stand alone Toshiba HD-A2.BlacKJaCK2290

I can understand the opinion that Blu Ray may win the war and that's the decision for getting one, but saying HD DVD sucks is just stupid.

Are you kidding me? Thats a 10/10! you guys are either jealeus or crazy not to think so, that TV is amazing! Not to mention I LOVE you living room, great setup man! I bet it's better than anyones here.catlin_czirr

I'd say 7/10. Its a nice little system. Don't let people that have 2 much invested get ya down. You have the backbone, you can always add more to it.

thanks for the reviews man :). and i think i judged HD-DVD a little too fast, i think i might take some of ur advices and just get the PS3 and HD-DVD Add-on for the xbox 360 and solve the problem all together and it should be cheaper, like $600 but then buying the movies with one movie like $30 all together to get a good library of movies it should cost me around $800-$900 which will make me save a lot of money and i also researched the combo player and i just found out that the HD-DVD part of the player sucks, cause it doesnt support 7.1 surround sound or iHD, the cool menu and features of the HD-DVD movies. and the player itself is extremely ugly, but i heard they are releasing a new one for the same price as the old one and lowering the old ones price to $700. so whatever, i'll probably get the ps3 with hd-dvd add on thou, cause having a ps3 is awesome as well cause of killzone 2 and MGS4 which would be the only reason of getting one for me.riyad_94
