Since you have a 64 bit os, then feel free to upgrade to 4 or 6 gbs of ram. You will see a performance increase across the broad with the extra ram. An ExpressCard slot is basically a slot in your laptop where you put your Broadband card or other accessories. The ViDock is an external graphics card solution that hooks up to your laptop through its ExpressSlot and you can put a desktop based graphics card in it. This is a great solution, however, you will need an external monitor for it to work.
I forgot to mention that with your setup as it is, you should be able to play WoW, CS:S, HL2, Warcraft 3, and other great PC Games. Don't expect it to run Crysis or anything. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
These are the actual cards, not the slot. If you have a slot on your laptop that can house any of these cards, then you can use the ViDock.
Are these slots located inside my laptop. if not i do not have a PCI express slot. i will check my laptop inside tonight though. I know I can run Torchlight on VeryHigh haha but I tried Bioshock`s demo on steam and got raped. It went up to the menu crisply but slowed down a ton on the start of the demo. Is it possible that a ram upgrade will help or is it important to have a PC containing appropriate hardware all around? Thanks againndawgdrake

Yo I have an Mobile Intel GMA4500HD in my laptop. I'd like to know whta all I can do with it cause i'm still discovering steam but am scare to purchase anything cause it must be reall low end gaming only. 3GB RAM Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU T4300 @ 2.10 GHz It was a gift and yeah even then I would be smart enough not to get a computer under 3 GHz...damn and they paid like 200 for the Integrated webcam and facial recocgnicion :O CleanNJerk

Im pretty sure the gma4500 is a 64mb video card and the minimum requirements for Tropico 3 is a 128mb so im guessing no but they have a demo for it on steam so it doesnt hurt to try
Intel GMA X4500 uses main system memory i.e. not limited to 64MB.[QUOTE="CleanNJerk"]Yo I have an Mobile Intel GMA4500HD in my laptop. Thanks for the info man. Judging by these vids i'm better off making a PC sometime in the future. Even HF2 plays better on 360 and FC2. So no point unless i use it for XBOX and ps2 type games which is what i'll do, I got psychonauts off steam for so cheap and it runs beautifully on my laptop so it's cool. Basically whatever Ican't get on the consoles that wouldn't demand alot on my PC is ideal for me!! Thanks man!i tired playing HL2 ep1 on my laptop core 2 duo 2ghz with 4gb ram and the 8200m (slightly bigger, but still an onboard card) band it was horrible. the 8200m was worse then my 7600gt.....

In general, 7600GT is between Geforce 8600 GS and 8600M GT.Thanks for the info man. Judging by these vids i'm better off making a PC sometime in the future. Even HF2 plays better on 360 and FC2. To match Xbox 360's ATI Xenos, you may need Geforce 8600M GT GDDR3 or similar.
I plan(already ordered the test componets) to experiment with
http://www.hwtools.net/Adapter/PE4H.html
It converts PCI-E X16 slot to Laptop's ExpressCard. It's same technology as ViDock2.
I have several laptops to test it on
1. ASUS G1SN (with NVIDIA Geforce 9500M GS+ 512 MB GDDR2 VRAM, Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2Ghz) (for AV recording)
2. ASUS W3J (with ATI Radeon X1600 + 256 MB GDDR? VRAM, Intel Core Duo 2Ghz) (my work laptop)
3. Sony Vaio VGN-FW45GJ (with ATI Radeon HD 4650 + 512 MB GDDR3 VRAM, Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53Ghz) (my primary laptop)
4. ASUS N80VN (with NVIDIA Geforce 9650M GT +1024 MB GDDR2 VRAM, Intel Core 2 Duo P9500 2.53Ghz) (Atm, broken NVIDIA drivers, #### wasted an entire laptop).
I have several GPU cards for test
1. NVIDIA Geforce 8600 GT (I might use it for PhysX)
2, ATI Radeon HD 3850.
3. ATI Radeon HD 4850 (O/C edition).
The result may look like this.
I'll probably enclose it within a small case.
