So I want to build one

no one I know has done it.

I need a walkthrough, some help, tips suggestions on what I'm supposed to do.

I'm not going to shell out 3 grand for something in the store, when I can build something like just as badass for like 1 grand.

So yeah, I am a newb at this, help me out and I'll be your best friend forever.

EDIT : and the computer needs to be badass enough to run Crysis at a budget of $1300

the internet is your friend in this case. do the research and you'll know a computer like the back of your hand. I've never did a full build before but its good to know that i'm capable of doing it. takes a while to gain confidence in yourself, but once you know what your doing it's a breeze. these links will help.

Once you have your mobo seaten in your case the rest is just a case of plugging it all in. As for Crysis if you want to play it on High with decent framerates I would go with a 8800GTX or one of the newer 9800 range. RAM 2GB 667 or 888Mhz. Any highend dual core or low end quad core should suffice, remember if you are in a dilema whether to spend that last little bit of money on your CPU or GPU always go for the GPU you will pay for it later of you don't.

ur funny as well first say a budget like anything as a price cheap car all rusty for 200$ or Chevrolet camaro like bumblebee in transformer hehe
well first there is
NVIDIA & ATI (deadly enemy) & different motehrbord
bad crossfire vs : good working Sli
low budget system vs expensive system
A budget is alway a way easy to make a system like 1000$ 2000$ : 3000$ : 5000$
you choice the power with it

note i don't recommend anyone who not hardcore gamer to spend more then 2000$ On a pc =)
hardcore gamer are like me they play alot and alot and alot. unless you have big money like 80.000k income and no Girlfriend to give steal the 30% Of ur time that is left after ya work is done

ok firstly i will recomend the new hd 4870 for your graphics card, or if you want cheaper go for the 4850 then you will be sorted for GPU. Then you will need a motherboard that will work with that graphics card (which you will have to look at), then for the ram, if you playing on vista i strongly recomend 4gig of a good brand like OCZ or Corsiar, but if u plan on using xp 2gig will be enough.

So thats the ram and the Graphics for a case look at a selection on newegg.com or www.ebuyer.com (if u live in the uk) i hear that coolmaster has a very good case but i forgot the model (its the newest one).

for your processor i think you should go with the Q6600 because its cheap and very powerful CPU also if you want, very overclockable with the roght cooling.

make sure to get a powersupply to handle all the items youu are buying 750wats seems to be ok but again go for a good brand like antec.

thats most of the things i can think of for you to get, but just make sure each part you are planning on buying you either research on or ask on the forums for help because i am sure alot of people will be willing to help you.

good luck on building a computer and i hope some of my recomondations will help you out :)

(sorry if i made a few typos i typed it fast.)
