Know of any games that were never really mainstream that you personally enjoyed?

Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory
Take Command: 2nd Mannassas
Dangerous Waters
Over Flanders Fields, Phase 3
First Eagles
Harpoon 3
Armageddon Empires
AGEOD's American Civil War, Napoleon's Campaigns, Birth of America
Victoria: An Empire Under the Sun
War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition
Independence War 2: The Edge of Chaos
Defence Grid: The Awakening
Red Orchestra
Nexus - The Jupiter Incident
And any of the Silent Hunter games. The 3rd one especially.
[QUOTE="fudgeblood"]ArmA 2, and some others.Nibroc420Was hyped? and hardly underrated. it just sucks. Far too buggy. as for an underhyped game i'd have to go with mount and blade.
It doesn't suck and it's not far too buggy. Don't say something about a game if you don't have a clue what you are talking about
Arcanum and sacrifice.
VtMB to a lesser degree since over the years it has gaine more and more recognition in the CRPG circle.
Viking: Battle for AsgardLiftedHeadshot
We have a WINNER! (IMO at least :P)
Haven't played many underated/underhyped pc games, but Risen is better than what GS gave it.
Viking as someone stated was extremely underrated, not a bad game atall, was only a rental, but still quite nice.
trijity
you could rent PC games?

Nevermind, he was talking about Xbox360.Viking: Battle for Asgard is on PC? How did I not know this?
SemperFi10
Lol, I saw someone else mention it and agreed with them, my apologies, I took this as underhyped games in general, spose I forgot where I was for a second. I had rented it for the 360 a few months ago, no clue if it's out for PC.

Oh damn, got my hopes up. Oh well, I guess I could... *looks over at dusty 360*... nevermind. Is Thief mainstream? I remember in that heroes competition someone referred to it as "the beta for Assassins Creed" - a little part of me died then!!biggest_loserIt definantly gets too little attention, so I'd say Yes! :P

He is right, so sorry but he is right.:)Uplink. I loved that game and bet a lot of other people would as well, but no one talks about it. My fav game from Introversion. It'slike a futuristic hacking sim thing.
Hitman Blood Money. I don't remember hearing anything about it at the time, but it's a great game, and probably the only Hitman game that's worth playing.
AFraud
Wrong and wrong. The game is mainstream, and the previous 2 hitman games are also amazing.
[QUOTE="Ikavnieks"]Mount and Blade, brilliant game.jettpack
is that build on the source engine??
no, it's on it's own engine.
Icewind Dale + expansions. Everybody mentions Baldur's Gate (especially now when Dragon Age is about to be released) and Planescape but I find ID to be one of my all time games and probably the most atmospheric AD&D game ever. Very beautiful dungeon crawler.
Wizardry VIII - the swan song of first person dungeon crawlers
Birth of the Federation - Master of Orion is ST universe
Temple of Elemental Evil - best transition of D&D 3.5 rules on the computer
UFO Afterlight - definitely underrated
Star Wolves - GS never even reviewed it.
Arcanum - for all that think modern RPGs have depth
