Yea, I was hoping to see some firefights in a city :evil: but that montage of the Paris battle looked wicked.

I think the visuals and animations are great so far. Still not as much info as I'd like to see, but it's still awesome. I just hope they blend more of the old BFs into this one rather than Bad Company.

Someone always has to turn every BF3 thread into a damn versus thread. Cant we all just agree that bf3 looks to be a spectacular game, and that it has already received some praise.

They showed plenty - engine demonstration, multiplayer footage, single-player tank footage. And if it was so weak, why is everyone so blown away by what's been shown (even Hideo Kojima!). I think you need to wake up and get a clue.

MW3 is the third iteration in the series, and it still looks like a glorified Call of Duty 2. You would expect some form of innovation between sequels, but nooo, IW has other ideas in mind.

Btw, did y'all notice that DICE was the only developer at the press conferences that demoed their game on a PC? Gotta love 'em.

The simple reason is that BF fans wanted to see some tank gameplay. Sure maybe not JUST tank gameplay but we still wanted to see it. Plus it sets up how single player works. Lots of combat chatter which was awesome. And his had terrific pacing. It wasn't boring. It doesn't have to be turned up to 11 at all times. They didn't show much because they didn't have to. If kojima is even impressed what does that tell you?

Also, i just thought of something! Rockets on the map 'Longest' from Halo CE in BF3, that's a great idea for a mod, omg. Pretty sure the map was named 'Longest'.. it was right? It's been a decade! The map with just a corridor and 2 lanes.

I hope they will both be great.. My only problem with them, is optmization, Look at Black Ops (it was a technical mess)

I am really hoping that MW3 does not suffer from the same... (really want it to do well, I would like a good Continuation of COD4-like mulitplayer on a game that can actually handle it and not buckle the framerate for no reason)

I also hope BF3 is optimized, (really needs to be for the graphics they are showing)

Optimization I look for more than graphics these days, yea sure it could look all nice and pretty, but if its a slideshow or unstable while doing it, It was a waste of time, money, energy, and resources.....

I don't know what you apes are talking about. I thought the e3 bf3 gameplay was intense and gorgeous. Maybe you're just the kind of people who prefer jolly ranchers to steak dinners.

By all means cod4, brought nothing to the series, the leveling system was not innovative, neither killstreaks in mw2, neither did black ops brought anything new. :roll: But bf2 with new graphics and destruction and is a whole new battlefield :roll: You serious? ofcourse its STILL looks identical to cod 2 :lol:

All this cod hate and bf3 praise is missplaced. You cant see the changes and praise the things that bf3 does not show you. Also have you seen uncharted 3 or resistance 3, hell take a look at a killzone 3. Thats how game sequels are nowdays. Infact thats how they were in the past, take a look at doom 2 and fallout 2, they look exactly like the first, so you people complain for nothing.

Also mw3 hate is crazy, i cant watch a video about an unrelated fps without seeing hate everywhere, time to fight back.
