I just installed Vista on a seperate partition. But my XP partition shows in Vista so that my two other drives, D and E, have no become E and F. Is it possible to hide the XP partition so that the other drives can have their old drive letters back? I would do the same in XP if this is possible. Thanks

You might just enjoy with your awesome looking Vista, you can format the XP now. Can you even boot back to XP? I heard people have lots of problems with it...

Eh, right. Of course I can, it set up for dual boot nicely off the bat. But untill I can do everything in vista that I can do in XP and I have stuff like bookmarks and whatever to move over it's nice to have XP around. In XP my Vista partition got the latest drive letter, so I guess I could just change XP's in vista to get it out of the way.

I only use XP, but maybe it's similar in Vista.

Right click on my computer and go to manage. From there, go to the disk management section.

From there, you can set many things about your partitions.

You can right click on a partition and one of the items in the menu allows you to choose the drive
letters for each partitions.
You can change the partitions you don't want so that they get no drive access
letter.Â
