Hi, today i was playing an avi and all of a sudden, my pc froze when i was trying to rewind a little..

now after i restarted my pc, i can no longer highlight or start an avi, or else my pc freezes...i dont understand whats happening.

i can still play 1080p mkv files without a problem but avi will crash my pc everytime.

I scanned to make sure if i had viruses, i defraged and cleaned diskdrive, i even made a disk checkup, everything is fine.

i dont wanna reinstall windows, just for a stupid thing like this

any idea?

thx

Sounds like a decoder issue. Have any evil codec packs installed..?

i dont have evil codecs...but like i said it started doing it today, it froze and then i cant use avi anymore... i have the same codecs since over 3years, they are up-to-date, i didnt download anything new recently, no windows update nothing changed whatsoever.
