Hit me with your best boss battles

Finished Bioshock the other day, great game and a really good boss battle at the end. This got me thinking, what are other good boss battles?, (not necessarily end of level)

Hit me with it!

Devil May Cry 3's every boss fight. Honestly, Devil May Cry 3 has the greatest boss fights ever. Not to mention the hardest.

God of War's Hydra fight.

God of War 2's.... every fight.

Daiblo 2, every single one. :V

I thought Bioshock's final 'boss' fight was one of the worst ever. In fact, it ruined the game for me. Sidestep, shoot, rinse, repeat while the 'boss' changes colours twice.

DMC 4 battles are truly amazing...

RE 5..Final battle was very tough for me...

Some MGS battles,meta ridley in Metroid prime,Hitler in Wolf 3d,Cyberdemon in Ultimate Doom,Penance in FFX,Mr.X in Streets of rage 1&2,Malak in KOTOR,Treya,Nihillus and Sion in KOTOR2,the Gigas in Skyes of Arcadia,any in Planescape torment,Baldur´s gate 2 and Diablo 2 and so on...

My favorite would have to be this one (some of you may lol). It's not particularly difficult but it's a really enjoyable fight. Flows together nicely.

As someone said, Tentacle from Halflife and Striders (minibosses, technically) from Halflife 2. I am also kind of partial to Nihilanth from Halflife.

I also like the bosses from Diablo 2 and Titan Quest (something nice about defeating all those Greek monsters)

I also thought Alma from FEAR 2 was really awesome, albeit a bit different. It was more cinematic and less traditional, but as far as an endgame battle goes it was both eery, moving, and awesome.

Quake 4 and Doom 3 also had some awesome bosses.

And despite being extremely formulaic, taking down bosses in WoW is simply epic. Not so much the raid encounters, but more 5-man dungeon bosses.

MGS boss battles are the most epic of them all IMO. DMC has some great ones as well.

Personally, I LOVE the boss battles in Dead Space; especially the giant tentacle-thing comes out of the wall at you in zero-g, that was freakin' epic.chrisrooR

DMC4 had some pretty epic boss battles, but that's mostly due to how many stylish moves you and the boss can pull off. I can't really remember any truly remarkable boss battles... GTA bosses are usually pretty exciting since you are often chasing someone at high speeds and every mistake can lose you the game.

The Max Payne series had pretty tense gunfights with and withoutboss characters (more so the first one).

I have to say the 2 most satisfying boss kills of my life were while playing WoW. Prince Malchazar in Karazan and Kil'Jaedan in Sunwell. Those are the only 2 I remeber actaully erupting in happiness as theire bodies went limp.

bioshocks boss battle was brutal

i liked the witchers boss fight, along the glaciers.
