hl2 ep.1 or cod2?

Ep1 will only last you 4-6 hours. CoD2 is just boring but will last you 10-15 hours (sp only).BounceDK

I've never played DoD, so I can't comment on it. CS:S is great fun if you can find good servers and a good group to play with. I dabble away a little time, here and there, in CS:S still.

If you're looking for a FPS, I wouldn't really classify HL2: Episode 1 as a FPS. You do play from a first person perspective, but you hardly do any shooting. You run around for the most part with that stupid gravity gun...needless to say, I quickly grew bored with Episode 1's game play.

CoD2 is much more entertaining, although it differs from the original CoD a bit, game play wise. You'll spend a lot more time in CoD2 then you will in Episode 1. Spend your money on CoD2 first.

Everyone has been talking about ep1, but the poll is ep2. If you enjoyed HL HL2 and ep1 and cant get enough of the story then maybe ep2 is for you.

I have been told by three of my friends that cod2 blows compared to cod and cod uo. And usually when the sequal looks better but is worse its a horrible game. yeah think thats it.

I'll Just pick CoD2 for practicality issue

This is a perfect argument for quality over quantity.  CoD2 is a nice, long game but it gets extremely boring after about 30 mins.

Episode 1 is extremely fun, and is entertaining for every single second.  However, its about 1/3 as long as CoD2.

So, it really depends what your looking for: a generic shooter with good value, or an awesome shooter that could have been a few more hours?
