Does anyone know why this game's release date is still TBA? What's taking so long? Will it be huge? Are they making a new engine or something, or what's the deal?
Valve is making the game. That means you should automaticall wait two years and expect delays. Actually i havn't heard ANYTHING but i do hope i can get back at those bug things that *Soilers* killed Eli at the end of Episode 2.

Well, yeah the concept is layed out from Ep. 2 of where they're going and possibly what their goal is.
I think now that left for dead is done vavle will crack on with HL2: EP3. So atleast another year if not more. May be a downer but its vavle, they never bring a game out on time :D. Its a good thing there games are god like otherwise i might just kill my self

Ya its been a while since ive heard anything on the game. I thought the reason they decided to make episodes was to release them more frequently........hopefully they will make some announcement after left4dead has been released.
this is what i'm hoping: valve will hold a press release sometime early next year; there, they'll make a surprise announcement. episode 3 will be half-life 3! it'll be a complete game, not just an episode (i.e., expansion)! and it'll use source engine 2! and it'll be released in 2010 (which means probably 2011)! and they show gameplay footages and screenshots, and it looks incredible and completely innovative! that would just be awesome.
