okay i have system requirements for homefront.. their rather confusing

first ill do the easy part

recommended:

windows vista/7 32 or 64 bit

2gb ram

any quad core 2ghz or faster

amd: hd 4850 or better

nvidia:geforce gtx 260 (or better)

10gb hdd space

pretty reasonable..now for the tricky part

minimums:

windows xp/vista/7

2gb ram

core 2 duo 2.4ghz or athalon x2 2.8ghz or better

amd: any x1900xt or better

nvidia: geforce 7900gs or better

10gb HDD space

odd eh xp loses support at medium or better.. thats going to leave a mark.

The game looks average as far as graphics goes. I wonder why they keep making new games with old graphics and the requirements keep escalating.

as the founding fathers of the outer sphere would say "everything must be used to its fullest if we are to succed"

they have simply learned to stretch out the power of old software and as a result requirements go up.

Whatever engine they're using (Keep hearing UE3 but not sure) was outsourced to another company for DX10, DX11, and more visual treats for the PC version. That explains why it loses XP at recommended. Time to let XP go IMO. Put it out to pasture. Also we've yet to see any PC footage I believe.

I meet recommended with a far better CPU and a GTX 260.

Every game recommends having more space than needed left on your hard drive. Nothing out of the norm here.

A little extra space is fine, but I hardly consider 10 GB to be normal.

I don't see a problem unless you're seriously crammed for HDD space.

A lot of games are getting to be 10GB or close to. It's going to be all the more common pretty soon.

Im thinking more like poor optimization. Why in the world would a multiplat game recommend a quad core processor and 2gb of ram? They probably are just using the brute force of the PC to run the game inefficiently.

Apparently they are giving the Xbox 360 an exclusive map and at least timed exclusivity to all the DLC. I don't support developers that show platform preference like that so I won't be getting homefront no matter how many crumbs they chuck PC gamers.
