Homeworld fans?

We got any Homeworld fans out here? I played the first one to death but not its expansion or two. Needless to say I hold Homeworld as the greatest RTS (and maybe even video game) of all time.

I have heard rumors of a third, that Relic has Homeworld 3 in the works with small team. Their focus has been on the CoH and Dawn of War series it looks like. Hopefully we get a third. I want to see more captial ship slugfests fall to my attack bombers!

I think they practically confirmed it (anytime Relic says "I can't tell you yes or no" they mean "yes") in some interview a few months (okay, more like last year) back.

You must play Homeworld: Cataclysm and Homeword 2, you will love the better graphics in Homeword 2! Plus there is an amazing BSG mod for Homeword 2....wigginender

As someone else said, they have reaquired the Homeworld licence (and it was not cheap) and they ARE going to make another homeworld.

I am very happy about the way it went for Relic ^^ out of thier IPs, only Company of Heroes is outplayied (after my oppinion) so they still have a good 2-3 series to build upon, and I REALLY expect great things from them on the next homeworld ^^

I didn't play the original but I really enjoyed the 2nd one.

I never played any of the Homeworld games, but I really hope that a 3rd is in the works! For now I've got SoaSE to keep me occupied.

Homeworld 2 is my favourite RTS of all time. Well, with CoH it's kind of even just because of the different settings. I guess I like each game equally...

Anyway, geting soem massive fleet battles going and hearing the groan of battleships just before they blow up is fantastic. Couple that with some shader mods and you have an amazing looking game.
