Horde or Alliance for WoW and why?

It really doesn't matter. Just make a character you think you'll like, run around a little, if you like it keep it. If not, make a different character and see if you like it better.

i tried alliance and i hated it. the environments for the starting points bored me. less helpful people because alot of them seem to be 14 year olds making chuck norris jokes. i tried a female night elf. am i the only one who thinks they look like they have man arms? disturbing..

ha! yeah the barrens chat is entertaining let me tell ya. gotten a bit better, but every time i go to orgrimmar i read about some new fight between nerds. only reason why people are such jerks are because they're anonymous. otherwise they'd get punched in the face.

i've heard some classic jokes in barrens chat, but that seems to have died down on my server...most of the old jokers must've outleveled that zone, so now they moved to trade.

i'd go horde, because most of the alliance on my server and battlegroup just whine...they're even boycotting Alterac Valley because of some minor changes, so now we have two hour waits to get in, and we're always up against premades.

I have a main horde character, but a new server just opened up and Ive had a lot of fun playing my alts as ally there.

Yes, Alliance attracts a lot of people (and appeals greatly to kids) but there are good people there. Horde definately seems the best, though, but thats just because they seem more honorable and battle ready.

As for race and class, I really like Blood Elf priests (my main is one). Theyre better for soloing (go shadow) than people give them credit for, and even if shadow spec'd they can heal great with a few green +healing items.

Orc warriors, shamans, and hunters are good too. I am a big fan of trolls as well.

here are some common/stupid myths about wow

1. horde are evil and alliance are good... false

2. alliance are full of little kids.... false

3. horde win more BG's than alliance.... false EVERY BG is different to the next one

dont listen to people that make stupid generalisations, who have hardly played the game and have only seen 1 point of view.

choose whatever race and class you want, every one has there own different tastes and opinions.

I play on European servers and I'm on bloodhoof. So I can only answer from my experience, I've got a level 70 on horde and a level 52 on alliance.

Compare server average age of horde with that of alliance. On Emerald Dream (My alliance realm) the average age of alliance is about 10.

Alliance are favoured by blizz though. After leveling horde and having to run around loads trying to find questing areas after running out it was a welcome to play alliance and have quests left over before I went to the next zone.

And don't even get me started on AV. That place stinks of unfairness. The layout and units of the alliance are far superior to the hordes.

However what usually happens is the alliance get faster progression, because you get pockets of adults. If you can find one of these guilds then you'll have a good time. But be aware you could be stuck with a bunch of 10 year olds screaming down vent at you because you did something wrong. Seriously hurts your ears.

I prefer to play horde because even though it was harder to level the people are alot more mature. Sure you still get a few young people but they don't tend to make it into guilds. They're the ones you get running around screaming about how they just broke their action man.
