Hey Guys

I"ll be hosting a 20 person LAN in the coming week or so. I have been looking for a good ethernet switch to buy. I found this one. Is it any good? Will we have good latency?

Thanks

i don't think latency is an issue on LAN these days especially if only 20 clients. to be honest a load of cheap 4/6 port switches will be better, if you're using one 20 port switch and people turn up without long enough cables you're going to have problems if you don't have spare switches.

Games tend to pretty light on bandwidth so any standard 100mb should be fine in most cases however if you're downloading big maps or patches off a dedicated server i'ld make sure to get gigabit for the server atleast and perhaps look into LACP for redundancy
