I just built my new system and I have 3 200-220mm fans and a 180mm fan running (so 4 big fans total). With all that I shouldn't have cooling problems and yet the "AUX" temperature is at 80+ degrees Celsius. What is the AUX temperature? Is that the power supply? Because my Cooler Master PSU doesnt have a 3-pin connector to check its temp all it has are the GPU connectors and the 24pin. So what's going on? My system specs: CPU: Intel i5 760 GPU: Radeon 6870 1GB RAM: 8GB (2 sticks) PSU: Cooler Master SilentPro M700 700 watts Case: Cooler Master HAF-X Motherboard: ASUS P7P55D-E LX Audio: X-Fi Titanium Fatal1y Pro -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ive done some google searching. Someone was having the same issue are you, his was reading 129 deg. Apparently it's a misreading, it will give wild temps if it cannot find a sensor. It sounds strange to me, but quite a few people varified that claim where I was reading. If this was my issue, I'd find myself another temp reading program and see what it lists for all my temps. Good luck, hope that was somewhat helpful.

Go to the ASUS support site and download PC Probe II, (System monitoring software for ASUS baords). It will identify the part/component that the sensors are measuring.

Speedfan is usually pretty buggy, that's why i ditched it because it was showing incorrect temps the majoority of the ttime compared to others. As said, try another temp monitoring program and if you are still seeing temps that high then open it up and see if all fans are spinning etc.

Yea dont trust speedfan. It said that one of my temps was like 80C, but than I switched to another temp monitoring program and it was like 30C.

I tried Probe2 as suggested and the CPU and MB temps are the same. The only difference is: Probe 2 = My PSU fan speed is 0 RPM (because I don't have a 4-pin connected to MB to read it) so it doesn't count it. SpeedFan = My PSU fan has 0 RPM so ITS ON FIRE??!! 8) I'll do as everyone said and ignore Speedfan. I'm sure my new PC is just fine. Thanks for the help guys
