I'm getting sick of switching back and forth the DVI wires of my PC and PS3 (PS3 uses hdmi to dvi cable) and would really like to get some sort of hub to connect both DVI cables to, then have 1 output dvi cable plug into my monitor, then just switch back and forth between them via a button.

At first, I found this DVI splitter and thought this was perfect until I realized, "How would my monitor know which one I want to use?" also there isn't a button on it. So it seems a splitter is not what i'm looking for. Here's the link.http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2658999&CatId=467

So I searched more on google and found a guy using this box, but it's HDMI, I want the same setup but DVI.http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10110&cs_id=1011002&p_id=4088&seq=1&format=2

I have a 24" LCD HP monitor that only has 1 VGA & 1 DVI input. I game on both regularly. but more so on my PC, so connecting it via VGA isn't something I want to do.

Any help on this will be appreciated.

Isn't it lower quality? My res is 1650x1050, I remember reading something about 720.

TC id sooner recommend you jsut get a Tv with and hdmi and video inputs and use that instead.. es their more expansive but itd save you alot of hairpulling.. thats what i did a long time ago with my ps2 & wii & pc.. i now play them (when i do play my consoles) off the video inputs and swap to my hdmi input for my pc... i dont always do this however..

1st make sure your monitor supports HDCP, if it doesn't then forget about it.

And this is why i bought a monitor with HDMI. I think you either have to live with the switching, or use VGA with your PC.
