How can i get a faster internet speed?

Well on U torrent you can click on changing your mbit to 100 50 10 etc... but how do i get that kind of internet connection?
I am 75% certain most English internet providers do not go over 2mbit;
Blue younder (is something like 2mbit or less)
Sky
Virgin

Cable as in the internet name or something lol and fiber something i guess is the name? any links where i can buy it or whatever lol?
