How can I get better at MW2?

Ok, I play MW2 on PC quite a lot, but I hadn't gotten into it until recently and I'm finding that I'm absolutely atrocious at it. I had CoD 4 on 360 a while back and I was reasonably good. I didn't die too much and I had a decent K/D, but on this I struggle to get more kills than deaths. It always seems that whenever I start getting a good kill streak, someone who I can't even see kills me and it turns out they spawned behind me or they were sat in a corner or something. Is there any decent way to get better at this, and what sort of class would be good to up my K/D?

Oh and currently, I have 2326 kills/2591 deaths, which is ****. I'm rank 47 as well.

That's something I'd already figured out. I've played a lot of fps games before and I'm never as bad as I am on MW2 though.

Back on MW2 MP will look like a piece of cake.

find good camping spots. shoot people in the ass. call air support.

I did that several times. I kept going back to it when I got bored.

Eat you vegetables, exercise daily, etc. Or seeing as you play on the pc theres this thing called a hack....

Stop sprinting, aim aim aim, good secondary weapon, know the maps

I don't see how you could. I love the idea of Modern Warfare as it gives me a certain vibe that i don't get from other games, but MW2 is terribad in almost everything except the Spec ops mission. Sure, it gives an explanation on what happened to Captain Price, but if it wasn't for that, this game would be a 5.5 in my book. Good presentation, (well, if you don't count the amount of bad advertising, Dedicated servers problems, and price tag increase) Bad chess play. Times like this i wish i could trade it in so i could never see it again.

Always be ready to shoot. Don't get casual and lose concentration. When you run, don't keep the shift button pressed down, just press it once and let it keep running then when you see someone to shoot all you have to do is right click to aim.

I started noob-tubing. I know I shouldn't, but it's fun. :D

The best tip i can give you is to dont care bout K/D .

Seriously if you just have fun and dont care bout killstreaks and K/D you start playing like a god :D .

Keep playing.. the more you play the game, the better you will get.

Go play TF2, easiest game to get 5:1 ratio, and thats without support :P lawl.

..Or get some nice wall hacks to balance out the game, trust me theres ALOT of hackers even some that tries to fake not having them. T.T is sad I know I used it lol.
