How can I get Red Alert to play on my XP?

Its very hard to do and even if you can get it to work the sound gets all messed up. You can try playing it in DOS mode or just get Command & Conquer The First Decade Which allows to play the game on Windows XP.

Try running it in compatibility mode.

only way is to install using dos and it took me a total of a 1/2hour to find out how but dos graphics are a piece a **** i purposly put stars for all who want to know

i agree with karayan, ive seen compatibility mode work on a lot of stuff including games.
