How can I tell if my DVD drive is also a DVD burner?

Other than buying some blank DVDs and putting them in my DVD drive, is there any other way to confirm if my DVD drive is also a DVD burner?

Will say DVD-RW or +RW on the tray or Device Manager.

Just check in "my computer" if You are using windows if it says "DVD RW Drive"

Also, most RW Drives have that RW symbol on them.

Hey, I got one more question. When I go to my Computer, it says DVD RW. How do I know whether it's + or - and what speed it is?

generally its x22 or x24 especially if its recently aquired the lowest it will be is x18

RW means it can do either + or -and do rewriteables..
