I see alot of posts saying relic is better then blizzard...but no RTS compares to blizzards online system...what other RTS has good online play? if relic is so good why cant they make anything close to battlenet? i still play wc3 tft every now and then and no rts touches battlenet except sc lol..imagine company of heroes and DoW with battlenet that would make those games 10x better

Because Relic exists. Point taken on the online aspect, but a lot of us(me included) play RTS's for campaign and skirmish mode.

battle.net is good, but I didn't really see a problem with the online for Dawn of War? Maybe thats just me.

You have a good point about the online, but I personally play RTS games for the skirmish/offline modes and the campaign and those, Relic delivers in spades.

i'd say a good reason is that all of Blizzard's games are old and able to run on any computer and probably online with Dial-up, I'm not even going to consider Blizzard an RTS maker untill they release Starcraft 2, sure they made good RTS's but its 2008.

wc3 and sc had awesome campaigns but how can you not like playing online? battlenet is an old system why cant new rts have anything that even compares to it..get online and theres still a ton of ppl playing..i loved gaining lvls and rank on wc3 having epic battles against friends and the clans were cool too...ive just been waiting a long time for another rts to come out with a good stable online system

I hate playing RTSs online, unless it is at a LAN party with friends. For that reason, Blizzard's RTS games are not at the top of my list. I love Starcraft but there are several other RTS games that I would rank higher.

Compared to many Relic games Warcraft 3 has shallow gameplay. Can any current online service match Bnet? No, of course not. No one else has the investment capitol to put anthing of the sort up. Bnet is great and I play WC3 and mods for it however the games themselves are just plain shallow compared to something like CoH.

I've never had any issues playing Dawn of War online. I only play with friends so I've never had to use the matchmaking/lobby stuff - but it's always been great for me with friends.

Well I've had no problems with Relic online, hell, I have no idea what people have against relic's online system, it's no battle.net but there's nothing wrong with except it's constant updates and having to patch every few days.
