Hi, I just upgraded my PC from a 32bit cpu to a 64bit supported cpu. After I installed my Vista, I relized that I only still had the 32bit version of Ultimate. My friend told me that Ultimate should automatically recognize your cpu and automatically change it to 64 bit. Is he right? If he is, than what do I have to do to make my Vista 64 bit? Do I have to buy a 64bit Ulimate?

You're friend is incorrect. If you're sure your CPU is 64bit-compatible, you can install Vista 64bit, but it won't just magically switch the 32bit install to 64bit. You need to install Vista again with the 64 bit architecture. However, your serial key will work with a 64 bit system, so if you can just borrow a friends 64bit disc, you can just put your 32bit serial in upon install and voila, 64bit installation.

How much RAM? If it's OEM you have to buy it, if it's retail you can upgrade to it you have to ask MS and they'll give the key for a small fee.
