How do i get the best picture on my 22inch TFT LCD display??

Hey people I have just bought a computer with a wicked 22 inch moniter but sometimes I get the impression that the picture quality could be a little better. The max resolutions i can run it at is 1680x1050. The windows vista media center tells me the resolutions could be better but is there a way it can automatically find the best resolutions?? Any help would be appreciated:)

1680x1050 IS the best resolution for your monitor, since it is it's native res.

1680x1050 IS the best resolution for your monitor, since it is it's native res.

and yeh u can play with colors/etc.. get everything perfect the way u want 

Ok thanks for the advice so i would no doubt get the best picture quality for my computer if i maxed the resolutions out the highest it can run it at. Thanks for the help :)

better to stick to the native resolution, 1680x1050 for my 22" LCD atleast, might be diff for yours 

1680x1050 is the max resolutions for it but on the windows media center it has the resolutions down as 1024x748. Would this mean the desktop resolutions would be the same and in general if i was playing games?? Would you recommend that i change my current resolutions setting to the highest resolutions(1680x1050)??sn4k3_64

its not the max resolution, its the native resolution, its the resolution that should be used for best picture quality  for that LCD

if your playing games u gotta set the resolution individually for each game in the game settings
