how do i improve my fps on cod2

its realy bad im only getting 12 at the most, how do i raise it? and yes my pc does meet the recomendations and its not the firewall

When I played it on my 9800Pro I had to use Dx7 instead of Dx9 - I gained a huge FPS boost, so try that. It's in the options somewhere in the game, probably under advanced video options or something.

turn down some of the video settings. And turn of Vsynch if its on.

Make sure you're on DX7 mode and Vsync is off. Take off anti-aliasing if you have too or sacrafice some resolution.
