PCI-E 2.0, they al lcome in that. As long as you have a slot for PCI-E x16, then it should work. To check... you could use rivatuner or nvidia driver info...

Only the worst of junk video cards is sold for plain PCI, since that shared bus runs at a third of the AGP bus speed, and allows no accelleration at all. There are onboard chips that are better than some of the plain PCI junkers.

Meanwhile, here is a graphic. Open the side of the PC and look in.

P.S. Plain PCI edge connector slots are almost never inside any color of plastic other than white. AGP slots are usually in a tan, brown, or beige colored plastic, and PCI-e is fairly often in black plastic.

If you want to know your slots, you will need to open your computer. Then look at your video card slots and there might be tiny letters that say "PCI-1" or "PCIE-1". My computer says that because I have multiple video card slots. Just make sure you be careful not to shock yourself. Just to be safe, shut down your computer first. See if the slots say at least something like I said.

if you have a pci xpress slot in your motherboard then id say go for but make sure your powersupply is good enough if you bought your computer already built theres about a %90+ chance that your powersupply isn't good enough

Several major brand-named PC lines included very cheap models that had no video bus at all, merely the plain PCI. I know of such bad PCs having been sold by Dell, HP, and Sony. I suspect there were more makers involved. The same gimmick these days would be to include PCI-e (1) slots, but not PCI-e(16), and then to loudly proclain "PCI-express" on the advertising literature, without saying that it wasn't a video capable slot.

When you open your computer, the slot will say (right by it) PCIE-1 (at least that is what my computer says).
