How do I resque a hostage on Rainbow Six (Original)

Its pissing me off!

Well that's wierd, I remember they would just follow you when you pressed a use key or something, but hey, if that doesn't work, you can always hunt down and kill every single terrorist on the level and then it will finish.

Have you tried GameFAQs.com or IGN walkthroughs? That should help too.

I think you have to toggle your teams movement to escort. I never bothered rescuing any of them. I just made a plan to take out all of the terrorists. That ws always easiest because one forward path is quicker than turning back. Removing the hostages is more of a last resort.

I'm not sure. What does resque mean? Is it like reheated barbecue?

Seriously you should be able to follow the instructions on the screen. Usually you just get close to the hostage and the game advances.

Yeah that was it, you had to change team stance, then the hostages run along with their brand new body guards!
