How do i see if my cpu is getting enough power

I got my new higher watt power supply today hooked iy up and everything appears to be working,BUT It had to of the cpu 4 pin power plugs on had like a 12+ on it and the other one was a 12p i think how do i know if i hooked up the right one?

The last PSU I got, it had a diagram with it listing which connections go to what parts....did yours come with anything like that?

No just diagrams of the different connectors doesnt say where each go...

Okay I called the psu maker and the lettering on it was 4+and 4pin next to eachother the the 4p stoof for 4 pin and thats what i was supposed to plug in the 4+ stood for 4+the 4 next to it to make a 8 pin thank you guys!
