how do i start up starcraft

im trying to download starcraft v1.15.2 patch the one where u dont need the cd rom for it but the everytime i finish the download it says an error has occurred preparing this patch and the problem can only be fixed by reinstalling the game and trying to update again well i did that but it still didnt work

but then i noticed a comment that said i have to make it an MPQ and to do that i have to disable hiding known file types this way i can turn it from an exe file to an MPQ if thats true id like to know how to do that

umm do i have to actually own the CD?

....i kinda jus clicked on the patch cus it said u dont need a CD i liked the game when i played it at my cousins house he mentioned this site to me and told me i didnt need a CD to play it however he didnt tell me i had to actually own the game

but uh i jus clicked on download and this box came up and it was downloading then i clicked on start file but then it said it was unable to run
