I was wondering how do you get DX11 to work in Battlefield Bad Company 2? Is it already programmed to run what your card has? i would like to know.

I believe if you have a HD 5000 or GF100 series card, the game will default to DX11.

Your OS also has to be a 64-bit version of Vista (updated for DX 11) or Windows 7.

Check the graphics options in the menu somewhere. The only DX11 game I have is Metro 2033, and it was DX11 automatically.

you can also force it by going into your Documents then BFBC2, open the Settings.ini file. Scroll down to DXVersion=Auto, change Auto to 11.

It's not wrong. You have directx 11 runtime installed but you can't use directx 11 features with your card. Directx 11 is backwards compatible with directx 10.

What he meant was that only 32-bit Vista doesn't work.
