HD starts at 1280*720 widescreen. I think the 360 with the VGA cable will let you pick that 1024*768 resolution, but I'm not sure how it would convert widescreen games on thta monitor. If it has black bars on the top and bottom during a game, then it's not using atleast 720 lines for the game image of your 768 lines. But either way, even if slightly under HD resolution, it should look a lot better than a tv.
