What is the best thing to do to make my computer run faster????
Thx Tozza

There are two things that affect speed:
1) What software you are running. If you run less on your computer, it will have more power to less applications (although that's a very crude idea of how a computer works, it's generally true). Getting rid of unneeded services and running processes can speed your computer up considerably. Defragmenting might help a little bit.
2) Hardware also has to be "fast" you can upgrade your computer to get more performance. Dusting the inside with a can of compressed air might help as well.

Things to do to make your Pc faster without buying stuff.
1. Virus/Spyware cleanup A good Spyware cleaner AD-aware http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2008/3000-8022_4-10045910.html
2. Defrag the Harddrive/s with a 3rd party program Windows defragger is ok not great,
3.Cleanup Temp Files
4. Registery problems
^ CCleaner does 3&4 http://www.ccleaner.com/
5. Last Start fom scratch(Format) with Windows
Who made your PC, and can you post the specs please? What OS is it running?
If you don't know the specs, go to Start, run, and type "dxdiag" without the quotes. Hit enter. Tell me what comes up for System Manufacturer, System Model, Processor and Memory. Then go to the "Display" tab and tell me the Device Name.
defragment your hard drive, run avast or avg for viruses, run spybot and adaware for spyware, run ccleaner for deleting temporary files and cleaning up your registry
installing more ram often does wonders, but i wouldn't recommend overclocking unless you're an enthusiast. some trustworthy ram manufacturer are corsair, ocz, crucial, kingston, mushkin, patriot, and g skill.
here's a quick tweak for lessening the load for your operating system with little to no visiual quality loss (i know it works well for xp, but not sure about vista): start>my computer>view system information>advanced>performance>settings>uncheck all of the boxes except the bottom three
and here's a quick optimization for booting up your operating system quicker: start>run>type "msconfig" (without the quotation marks)>startup>uncheck boxes when appropriate
i'm assuming you're running a windows operating system. telling us your specifications would be helpful too.
Here's an idea, its not the best of the best but it will be night and day difference. Also you will be able to run every game betwwen medium-high settings depending on the game.
