Yes but I feel the same way about any part. Its been well over a year since I got a chance to add anything to my computer though :( I am itching for something new.

I use it as an excuse to clean my computer. I don't let myself use my new videocard until everything is completely detailed and rebuilt. It makes it that much more satisfying when I get play :)

I get a certain sense of tension because i've been unlucky in getting DOA parts shipped to me in the past, when things go smooth after the installation relief sets in and all is well.

Ha, yeah when I got my laptop I re installed Half Life 2 and played it maxed out at like 60fps and was all smug. The old family PC was so freaking out dated.

I'm much the same way. I have to find a day (or plan in the future, a day from work) where I won't have the wife or daughter around. Otherwise I constantly hear "dad" nonstop and the wife finds it very irritating that I can spend hours taking my computer apart, cleaning and putting it back together.

I've got a fan making a clicking noise, though I don't remember which one is set to control spot 3 on my fan controller - either one of the top case fans or one on my Hyper 212+. Either way, sometime in the next week or so I'll have to open things up and do some minor cleaning and replace a fan.

Yeah I get really tense, I've had some bad parts thats dont work or cause a "pop" sound and then smoke lol. So when a new part works, I'm so relieved, then I get excited.

I Slaped myself to belive that YES i do own a GTX 580.

As for the installing part i kept a knife beside my case so if i ruin the motherboard or the GTX580 i would commit HARA-KIRI.
