You can always let ATITOOL do it for you.

atitool never seems to finish for me, i click 'find max core' or find max mem and both seem to run for in excess of 12 hours without finishing, or it stops responding so ive given up on it

im currently using riva tuner but that doesnt give a recommended max

I use Atitool for 30minutes so that it can find stable clock speed and then note the clock speed and put it in rivatuner and then save.

yes i no that but when i go on display settings i cant see the option it says i should be seeing which is why im asking for the help, cos its not there and i wana no y, either im looking in the rong place or its named summat else :S

just to confirm im doing this right
i click ont he desktop, display properties/settings, i then get the pop up window and i have one tab labelled monitor and identify monitors and advanced settings are my only options
i dont see an 'enable output monitor of card' option or anything remotely related to that
