How fast can you blast through Half life 1?

Half life 1 is pretty easy to blast right through, and I want see how fast the members of GS can do it.

I'm just slowly getting Half life 1 again now. So I will have to see. You?

Have you guys seen the Half-Life in an hour vid? That is fudging nuts. Google it and watch, it's amazing.

There is a HL2 Done Quick vid too, and that's also amazing. They exploit the (now fixed) bug where by picking something up that you're standing on makes suspends you in the air and you can drop and pick up constantly and soar over maps. It's insane.

It is a lot harder than HL2. 

Last time i played it I played on the high difficulty and finished in under 4 hours without trying to play fast. Kind of suprised myself 'cause I know it took me more than 20 hours my first play through on a lower difficulty. Knowing where the bad guys are and how all the puzzles work speeds it up a ton.

i think the guy did it in like 9 or so different segments, so it wasn't a straight run through, but multiple tials linked together for the whole game. It's very impressive though. He didn't cheat at all, but he did use an unpatched version of the game or something because he was able to gauss gun jump and get the the very edge of the map in some sections.

 I can beat half life fast, although i've never gone straight through it or timed myself. I've played through it 7 times i think though, and i know the game like the back of my hand. I also know a lot of tricks that help too, like bunny hopping and airstrafing and surfing and water skipping and strafing which help you get past some sections quickly. I have no clue how fast i could do it in though. 

If it's your first time playing the game though, don't rush through it. Take your time because half life is a truely amazing game and there is a lot to take in and observe

I heard a team of guys beat HL1 in 45 mins. The video of it is on youtube or something, though I have not seen it.

Edit: now I see you guys already were talking about it.  From what I heard its real and they used no cheats, but it was a team of guys, not just one person.
